Group bosses have always been considered the “silver pinatas” of MAA. These cash cows were introduced into the game in Spec Ops 8 – Vision of the Future. Ultron appropriately was the first Group Boss. The last one we had was Zzzax from Spec ops 32 – Follow the leader which ended on 2/18/2016. That was over 5 months ago! Those of you complaining its been a long time since we had one are justifiably right, since this is now an all time record high (see timeline chart below).

Also, with the Level 16 RUMOR floating around (and may I remind you this rumor is still yet UNCONFIRMED), players have been hard pressed for silver and really began to take notice at our current Group Boss drought.
Our speculation here at MAATIMES.com is that the next Spec Ops will most likely have a new Group Boss. Given also the rumor that Ronan will be the next Lockbox character, one can maybe assume this can be another Guardians of the Galaxy themed Spec Ops. Perhaps this will be a continuation of the story started in Spec Ops 35 – Black Vortex. We will most likely will not see the launch of Spec Ops 36 until the end of this month or maybe even until August. Also Playdom has not given us any hints on who the next group boss will be. We can only speculate on what we know. Based on what you know, who do you think it will be?

what about opening chapter 11 for season 2 it has been awhile as well GB are great but there should always be something to do in the game ….

I completely agree, also. Chapter 11 has been locked since last year sometime. I know it takes some time to update this game but it seems as thought the Special Ops are coming more frequently than PVP battles or mission chapters. Also, I’m VERY tired of villains suddenly becoming heroes when there are still good super heroes yet to be added. Ronan need not be a lockbox prize. Add Photon (formerly known as Ms. Marvel), Firestar, Silver Surfer or even Lorna Dayne (Polaris). HELL add Jubilee for all that matters!
