Back in the day resurrection and healing ruled the meta.    Players had trouble beating teams with Rescue and Phoenix.   That was until the effect “Despair” came around.  With this effect a hero could no longer heal nor resurrect.  So when they died they stayed dead!    The nice thing about despair was that it was also irremovable and stayed on for what seemed like 3 rounds.

Now, that is beginning to change.  Once again the meta will shift back to healing because Despair was nerfed yesterday in a stealth patch making it a “Dark Effect” that can be removed by certain characters or items.    In case you missed the previous post – Cloak and Dagger is completely immune to it.

Here is a list of characters/items that now can either remove despair or immune to it.

Two years ago today, the same day the Facebook Group Avengers Bros was founded, the discussion of the day was mostly about the newly introduced “Pre PVP”, both on the FTH Podcast and the Marvel Insiders article.

Then exactly 1 year later another Marvel Inside Article was released talking about the upcoming release of Chapter 9.   The article does mention raising the level cap to 15, whereas the most recent Insider article does not.   This most likely means that we will not get the raise of Level 16 with Chapter 11, however it still may come with the soon to be released Chapter 12.

Thats right!   A stealth patch was recently done balancing (or nerfing) certain characters and weapons.  However, the item that stands out the most is that both Despair and Agony are now considered “Dark Effects”.  As you recall Cloak and Dagger is immune to it.

So if you noticed in your PVP battle why Cloak and Dagger was no longer being affected by despair you know why.

Well, as we posted yesterday Chapter 11 is due to drop any second!   Or it also can drop tomorrow and most likely will drop tomorrow, but we are hoping it will drop TONIGHT as I am sure all of you are.

Now that Marvel Insiders posted its latest article promoting the Chapter, give us even more reason to believe SOONER not later.   During the last two chapter drops the pattern shows that Chapter Drops happen 1 day after the Insiders article is published.  It wasn’t always the case.  Back in 2014, the article came far after the Chapter was released.   See Chart below:

The Knight was part of the very first “Set” that complimented each other in battle.  The Chess set was the very first one.  However, in the beginning set pieces were not introduced together.  In fact the Knight was introduced separately FIRST before the Chess set was introduced!

Now, it has become quite clear that the majority of players don’t welcome this change.  About 72% at this point.  However, this now begs the question of Level 16 were to drop tomorrow would that kill the game for many players?    So I have a new poll I would like you to answer and again feel free to leave comments.
