And when will he be released? The answer to that based on these covers now appearing on Playdom’s servers and what Playdom has previously announced is Ronan The Acuser, the main villain from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Three questions we have
- What class will he be?
- Since he is such a powerful and villainous character in the game, will he be limited to team up with the Agent only like Kang and Doom?
- In what form will his lockboxes be deployed? Lockboxes are deployed in three ways: 1) During PVP Daily 5 2) Rewards with Spec Ops Group Bosses 3) Daily mission drops (Done so far during Christmas only) Since we recently have both PVP and Spec Ops it will be a while before we see this new lockbox character appear. Unless they do something different they have not yet done before to deploy them.
why do we need so many ‘reformed’ villains? We have almost all of Spider-man’s rogues gallery! Therre are a ton of REAL Avengers left, not to mention Namor, other X-men, Defenders, Invaders, Legion of Monsters/Howling Commandoes, Champions, Agent of Atlas, Alpha Flight, Deep Six, Excalibur, Exiles (Omniverse), Fallen Angels, Great Lakes Avengers, Heroes for Hire, Knights of Pendragon, Lady Liberators, Liberty Legion, Marvel Knights, Midnight Sons, New Warriors, New X-Men, Agency X, Nextwave, Night Shift, the Nine, the Original Guardians of the Galaxy, the Order, Soviet Super-Soldiers/People’s Protectorate/Winter Guard/Siberforce, Power Pack, Queen’s Vengeance, Skrull Kill Krew, Slingersv Squadron Supreme (Earth-712), Star Masters, Starjammers, Thunderbolts, Young Avengers, X-Factor Investigations, Fantastic Force, Warbound, oir Ultraforce? And there an equal number of Villains, single or in a team, like the Squadron Sinister or Serpent Society, Mr Hyde or Umar?
In the comics Ronan wasn’t really a villain. He has been antagonistic but that was due to looking out for the best interests of the Kree. He has assisted the heroes of Earth far more often than he has attacked them. He is also married to Crystal of the Inhumans. In the Guardians he was evil but most of the bad things he did in that movie were actually committed by Thanos in the comics, but since he is the overarching villain of the entire movie franchise they couldn’t use him.
Time for some Alpha Flight heroes.

Alpha Flight is needed… Northstar and Aurora duo character (Blaster/Scrapper), Guardian (Tactician), Shaman (Blaster), Snowbird (Scrapper), Puck (Infiltrator), Sasquatch (Bruiser), Marrina (Scrapper), Vindicator (Blaster), and Talisman (Tactician).
